three Wellington Big Red trolleys

Today's historic picture shows 3 trolley buses at the bus depot at the intersection of Featherston Street and Lambton Quay in 1978, with the Railway Station in the background. All are British United Traction chassis - Number 22 on the left is from the early 1950s, Number 57 is from the late 1950s/1960, and Number 113 is from 1964. The latter had a body built by New Zealand Motor Bodies. The first had a Metropolitan Vickers 78 kW motor and the other two had 75 kW English Electric motors.
