At least if these statistics are to be believed. It's certainly a trend that has advanced considerably in the past two decades. Whatever one may think of J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter books, she has put a book in the hands of a lot of kids who would otherwise have never read a book for leisure, but the battle to encourage people to do that regularly remains a tough one.
