The vehicle illustrated is not a Bedford VAL; they had two steering front axles with 16" wheels. The one in the picture is a Bonnici Motors Bedford SB, the truck-based chassis with a single front axle and 20" wheels.
What happened to the front wheels of this one?
The photo has to be earlier than 1963 as the 1962-63 registration stickers were green. The 1961-62 stickers were red.
