cars outside Truman's Coffee Shop Restaurant, L.A., 1952

This was on the corner of Wilshire and Westwood Boulevards. There's no clue about its existence at this location today. (via Vintage Los Angeles)

  1. Originally the hi ho Drive-in and College Cafe dating back to the 1920’s era. Replaced by the Oppenheimer Building in 1969 (see construction photos on Skyscraper NLA V.2 around page 6-8). More info. on Martin Turnbull’s photo blog in December 2025. The Crest Theater (ex-UCLAN, now Nimoy) can be found just south of the site.
