unusual bridge alignment

The Columbus Pike Bridge on the left and the Scioto Valley Traction Co. bridge in Chillicothe about 1918.  Work on building the latter bridge started 7 October 1904 and was finished 7 August 1905. On 25 August the first special car with officials ran to Chillicothe and regular service started Saturday 26 August 1905.

In April 1930 service was discontinued with the last car out to Chillicothe leaving at 11:00 p.m. with motor man William Rigney, and conductor George Gallager in charge.

The traction was electric although that isn't obvious here - the overhead wires seem to have been 'photoshopped' away.  Info from this page where there are more pics.
