A diesel railcar built by MAN of Germany for metre-gauge lines of the ONCF de Guinée, consisting of engine car A with 2nd class seats, trailer B with 1st class reclining seats and dining room, and engine car C with 2nd class seating. Similar trains were also delivered to Brazil.
Officially, Guinea has 1,086 km of railways of which 279 km are standard gauge (
1,435 mm) and 807 km are metre-gauge, including 662 km of common carrier service from Kankan to Conakry. However, one website states, "
Le réseau ferroviaire de la Guinée est en très mauvais état" (the railway network of Guinea is in very bad state) - it sounds like a Steven Joyce type is in charge there too.
