German Pegida founder gets prosecuted for disparaging remarks about Merkel's Muslims

Lutz Bachmann, the founder of German anti-immigration movement PEGIDA, has appeared in court on charges of inciting ‘racial’ hatred. Bachmann was arrested for calling migrants ‘filth’ and ‘cattle’ on Facebook. And, if convicted, he faces up to five years in jail.

While commentators have been shocked to discover that German law restricts ‘defamation of organs and representatives of foreign states’, this is only the tip of the iceberg. Alongside criminalising Holocaust denial, Germany has some of the most extensive hate-speech laws in Europe – which Bachmann is now on the sharp end of.

Social media on the Internet is full of such comments and last year Polish MEP Janusz Korwin-Mikka called the Muslim migrants "a tsunami of human garbage".

Clearly, however, Führerin Merkel doesn't like criticism of her Islamonazis and wants to make an example of someone.

A crucial point that seems to escape Merkel and her sycophants is that Islam is a political-religious ideology and not a race. Most of those who object to the way Muslims behave don't care what color they are; they expect immigrants, if not to show gratitude for the humanitarian assistance they get, then at least to be non-violent and obey the laws of the country that they migrate to; if they are incapable of doing that, then they should be removed from Europe.
