Those who live in the vicinity are subjected to this dreadful noise 5 times a day :-(

This viral clip produced some wry comments about it making good RPG target practice, however, you wonder if the risk is in the other direction: a Muslim with a high powered rifle could turn it into a sniper position.  Authorities should not allow this type of structure.

A postcard from probably not long after this was built in 1961, which obviously had several transport-theme tableaux on the exterior.  In the last 10 years it has been extensively upgraded.

Naumburg electric trams, Germany



Number 17 is the oldest tram, dating from 1928, in Naumburg since 1978

Steam trams ran here between 1892 and 1902, since that time a metre-gauge 2.5 km ring-type circuit has operated around the city (although not continuously), the smallest tram system in Germany and one of the smallest in Europe, and since DDR times has often been called the Wilde Zicke (wild goat, bitch).
